In today’s world it means more to connect people than ever. Bizbash is David Adler and he will discuss all the dynamics of event organizing today. 

He will discuss what makes great Live events including the social physics of how ideas spread; the Emphasis on learning and development; how our events are no longer about who attends but how many conversations are curating as well as ideas that are proven winners and engaging your audience. Take a trip through the mind of someone who spent 20 years observing and talking to Event organizers of all types. 

Biography:
David Adler, Chairman and Founder of BizBash is a veteran media and event entrepreneur. He founded BizBash as an idea and resource marketplace for event organizers of all types from corporate and association to high-end personal and social events. His site has become the largest media property in the B-to-B event industry with nearly 2.5 million annual user sessions.

In addition to BizBash, the company also owns BizBash Events Database (bizbasheventsdatabase.com), a lead research tool; Masterplanner (masterplanneronline.com), a date conflict resolution tool for New York and Los Angeles, as well as a major investment in the Event Leadership Institute (eventleadershipinstitute.com), a leader in online video training for the event industry.

During the Obama Administration, Adler served in various volunteer roles with U.S. State Department as a consultant to the chief of protocol on projects such as the Patrons of Diplomacy, the first Global Chiefs of Protocol Conference, and the Diplomatic Culinary Partnership’s American Chef Corp.

Prior to BizBash, Adler held posts as vice president of corporate communications for Primedia and Macmillan Inc. He was also chief of passion branding at Cone Communications, where he developed programs such as the initial Avon Breast Cancer Initiative, the Reebok Human Rights Awards, the Polaroid Missing Children Program, and the John F. Kennedy Library Profile in Courage Award.

At the age of 21, a month after graduating from American University, Adler founded and was the C.E.O. of Washington Dossier, a magazine that covered power, society, politics, and entertaining in the nation’s capital.

Adler resides in New York City and is active in several nonprofit and professional organizations, including current and previous board positions with SISO (Society of Independent Show Organizers), NYC & Company, the WNET Education Committee, the Dean’s Advisory Council of the American University School of Communication, the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, the Magazine Publishers Association, Citymeals-on-Wheels, the Fine Arts Committee of the State Department of the United States, The Hudson Square Business Improvement District and the Open Future Institute.

Event Safety Measures:
During these unprecedented times, the safety of our members is most important to us. Please see below for some of the precautions we will be taking to ensure we are adhering to all guidelines and regulations: 

• Masks are required - mask must cover your nose and mouth
• Social distancing is required
• Attendees will be spaced out in the ballroom
• Questions will be gathered/moderated virtually
• There will be arrows showing each dedicated entry and exit in order to keep people safe and distant
• All in-person attendees who are speaking will have a dedicated microphone
• Meals will not be communal
• All attendees will be encouraged to:
  • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol which will be provided. Always wash hands that are visibly soiled.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Practice good respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes
  • If feeling under the weather or having a fever, please stay home

Standard Registration Fees:
MPI Georgia Member - $35*
MPI Georgia Non Member - $45*
Student Member- $20*
Student Non Member- $30*

*Registration includes lunch for those attending in-person and a Grubhub gift card for those attending virtually

MPI Georgia Chapter Attendance Policy:
All Essential Level members or non-members are limited to no more than two events in one fiscal year and must pay the Essential Level/Non-member rate. MPI Preferred or Premier Level members are welcome to attend all chapter events at the Member Price. 

Cancellations: 
If you need to cancel your registration a full refund will be granted if cancellation is received in writing before 5:00 PM on the Thursday before the event. After that time there will be no refunds. Please send cancellation notice to info@mpigeorgia.org.  

Additionally, registration fees may not be applied or transferred to future events.

Substitutions: If you have registered but are unable to attend the meeting, you may substitute another employee from your company at no additional charge.

Don't Miss The Exchange, MPI Georgia's Planner Only Interactive Session.

This free session takes place from 10:45 AM - 11:30 AM, preceding the educational program. Please indicate your participation during registration for the educational program.

The Exchange will be available to those registrants who want to attend virtually, as well. You will be sent the Zoom code prior to September 23.

The Exchange is designed to provide a casual environment for planners of all experience levels to interact and discuss "topics of the day" interests, as well as allow for spontaneous interactions/discussions.

Since all planner members have a unique combination of skills and experiences; The Exchange provides an opportunity for all participants to share, question, and contribute to enhancing their knowledge and planning skills. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to participate in this unique "planner only" experience!
