Congratulations are in order for the Solomon family who will be welcoming a baby boy later this Summer!

"While feeling under the weather between Christmas and New Years, unsure if it was from overindulging in sweets and treats or a much anticipated pregnancy – we found out that it was the latter and were overjoyed! Very fun news to kick off 2022! The new bundle of joy is due on August 26. We currently have seven nieces and nephews and feel mildly prepared to add number eight to the cousin crew!

We opted to do genetic testing and find out the gender of the baby as early as possible. With a trip planned to Israel for early March, we decided to have the results sealed in an envelope and open them at some point on our trip. Our friends and family couldn’t fathom that we were just carrying around this secret in our pocket and not ripping it open. But we wanted to make it special and open it at just the right time.

We ultimately decided to open the envelope with our tour group (of 40+ people) at the Western Wall in Israel. A very spiritual place. It was very moving and a big surprise as we were sure it was a girl. Dog brother Hudson is very excited about adding another boy to the household, I’m so outnumbered now!"
