July 2021 Grapevine

Congratulations to Steven Schumacher and his beautiful family on the birth of their newest bundle of joy, Rowan Mae, born on June 30^th.  Steven shared that Mae is a family name on both sides and they thought it was a perfect way to keep the traditional name in the family.  From the sounds of it, Steven and MaryKate are very organized by doing the nighttime hours in shifts with big sister, Quinn, being a great daytime helper.  As soon as they can, Steven and MaryKate are ready to roll and show Rowan all things Georgia.   Happy Times!    

Congratulations to Sharon Collins, CMP, CMM, DES who started July 1 with the Georgia Municipal Association as their Director of Conferences and Management Services. She works with a team of 4 meeting professionals who manage meetings throughout the year, along with overseeing several subsidiary associations for GMA. Located in downtown Atlanta, GMA was formed in 1933 and is the only state organization that represents municipal governments in Georgia providing a multitude of services to its members.  Its mission is to anticipate and influence the forces shaping Georgia’s cities and to provide education, technical consulting, leadership, tools and services that assist municipal governments in becoming more innovation, effective and responsive.  GMA currently represents 537 cities in Georgia.
