Congratulations to Dee Mittman who has joined the Virginia Beach CVB after 7 years at the Greensboro CVB.  In her new role as a Meeting Sales Manager Dee will be managing all multi-cultural associations, the corporate market, and the Midwest territory.  Anyone who knows Dee, knows she will be an exceptional addition to the VBCVB. Dee, whose career spans over 15 years in the hospitality industry, was chosen after a nationwide search. Dee is an experienced hospitality sales and marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. A native of Greensboro, NC, Dee got her start in the hospitality industry at the Wyndham Garden Hotel (formerly the Clarion Hotel); during her tenure, she advanced from catering sales manager to eventually leading her team as Director of Sales for this full-service property. Subsequently, Dee began her career at the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau as a National Sales Manager. During her seven years at the CVB, Dee  successfully sourced meetings and events in the sports, corporate, and diversity association markets to be hosted in the City of Greensboro, NC. Dee is no stranger to the Sports Marketing side of the world either; she is a USA Track and Field Certified Official!

The global event team is thrilled to announce the addition of our newest team member, Pam Shepherd, as Global Sales Director! Pam joins GET with more than 30 years of experience in the meeting and hospitality industry.  Her professional affiliations include SITE, PCMA SE, HSMAI Georgia and MPI Georgia, where Pam is the incoming Director of Strategic Partnerships.

The global event team, with offices in Boca Raton and Orlando, is a total-solution meeting planning, production and event design company supporting clients worldwide.

Tara Zeravsky, CMP, MPI Georgia's Association Manager has been invited to join MPI Global's Association Management System (AMS) Advisory Committee. In this role, Tara will provide input about our Chapters needs and wants as it relates to an AMS. She will help ensure that ALL chapters have a voice in this project.

MPI Global is working to provide consistency by offering common software to each Chapter. Two years ago, all Chapters implemented a new website platform to support like features. Global is now researching an AMS that will provided much needed support with an all-in-one management tool to include membership database, communications system, finance and payment system and more. 

Tara is excited to be part of the team to research and select the best system for all Chapters.
