OCTOBER: Stepping into the MPI Georgia Network

MPI GA: Jourden, what enticed you to join MPI Georgia under the student membership?

Jourden: I joined MPI Georgia because I realize how important it is to build a strong network and be around people who are in the positions that I want to be in. My Mom (Zoe Moore) also reminded me that I needed to get involved. What piqued my interest the most was the huge network that MPI has. Initially, I didn't fully comprehend its strength, but now I'm grateful that I can reach out to various people for guidance.

MPI GA: You attended the September Educational Networking event, what was your biggest take away and how do you see this helping you in the future?

Jourden: The biggest takeaway from the event was listening to the panel. I love the strategy and the behind-the-scenes work that goes into business. It was dope hearing all of the different scenarios that the average pedestrian doesn't have to think about while they are at an event or out in public.

NOVEMBER: A Month in the MPI Community

MPI GA: So, you have been a member for a month. How’s it going?

Jourden: Everything has been going smooth. I went to the Fall Classic and had a good time learning how to play bocce ball. I met really good people and gained a client!

MPI GA: Have you utilized any of the membership benefits yet? If so, which one(s)? If not, why not?

Jourden: The networking aspect has been the primary membership benefit I've tapped into. I understand how important it is to grow my network. I look forward to exploring more of the benefits.

MPI GA: As a young student with an entrepreneurial mindset, how would you describe MPI Georgia membership to other students considering membership?

Jourden: I would describe this membership as a peek into the future. You get to interact and gain advice from people who already have skin in the game, allowing you to avoid some mistakes and get a head start. I believe there is a big disconnect between my generation and the older generation, and I feel like this membership can be a step in the right direction.

Stay tuned for Jourden's December update as we continue to follow his exciting new journey within MPI Georgia!
