MPI Georgia connection? Joined in 2011 when I moved from managing a corporate conference center to planning meetings & events.

How did you get into the hospitality industry?   I was determined to move to Washington, DC after college and found a job with a non-profit organization planning events for single adults. I fell in love with the industry and never looked back.

What's one of your most unique personal or work accomplishments during your time at home this year? I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram in November 2020 and underwent surgery in January 2021. A month later, my oncologist pronounced me cancer-free! Even though it may be a pain, please don’t put off preventative care – it can save your life. On another note, we adopted a pandemic puppy, a vizsla named Hazel, who has given us so much joy and laughter.
