MPI Georgia welcomes new member, Kate Vinyard, CMP. She is the Strategy & Sales Director at streamlinevents, and recently rejoined the chapter in October 2023. She has been involved with MPI for years, having served both as a Board Member as well as on several Chapter Committees. Kate loves the connections that she has made through this incredible organization. Currently, with streamlinevents, she is serving existing and new clients in developing strategies and plans for Global Events (SKOs, Incentives, Exec Summits etc.). “We focus on attendee experience and logistic management, registration and event technology solutions, sourcing and purchasing, and creative design.” Kate’s success is attributed to a focus on establishing clear goals and objectives, open transparency, outstanding attendee experience, precision on budget management, vendor and partner collaboration, sustainability, and effective and efficient communication, just to name a few.

Kate’s first job in the meeting industry was as an Event Specialist at Club Car based in Augusta, Georgia. “It was my first taste of events, and I was hooked!” She loved traveling to amazing places and meeting loads of incredible people and knew all the hard work and insanity would pay off when she saw a successful event come to fruition. Presently, in her current position, Kate is taking a deep dive into streamlinevents’s clients' overarching strategy for a large global sales kickoff. They are starting the conversation at the top with their company goals and objectives and applying those to every area of the event they can. They will then use these to do a detailed measurement of the success of their event to thoroughly track solid ROI. “I love being a part of the strategy and development process, then see it all come to fruition, and measure to show the success of the team’s hard work.”

Kate lives in Augusta with her husband and 7-year-old daughter. She also has 2 bonus kids; one works and lives in Atlanta, GA and the other in Jacksonville, FL. Did you happen to hear “Don’t Stop Believin” by Journey when Kate walked in the room? She would opt to have that play because the song is all about hope and perseverance. “I love this song! [It is] inspiring us all to keep striving for our dreams!” Speaking of inspiring, Kate has climbed the Half Dome in Yosemite; a 14 to 16-mile round-trip hike traversing an elevation gain of 4,800 feet!  And she has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro on her horizon.
