Speaker Information:

Susan Callender

Susan Callender

Susan Callender built her reputation in high touch client relations first,  as a manager at four-star, boutique hotel, followed by a stint in the convention world planning events for upwards of 30,000 attendees and later, as CEO of Boston Unique Events, an award-winning catering and event planning company serving blue-chip corporations, high-end social soirees and major events, including the Democratic National Convention.

She sold that firm in 2009 and redirected her efforts toward cultivating a polite society through a focus on business etiquette, soft, social and interpersonal skills. Why the transition? What she determined over time was whether a conference was for 30 attendees or 30,000, every successful event requires connection through solid people skills at every point in the process.

Susan’s rise in the realm of professional presence has made her a trusted and recognizable expert, including as a sought-after public speaker, a commentator for CNN’s Airport Network, seen in 48 airports nationwide, and being featured on National Public Radio, CBS, The Boston Globe, Parenting and AARP magazines – proving it’s never too early or too late to cultivate a polished persona.
