Online discussion | The Sustainability Revolution: a new paradigm for event management

Clients, sponsors, attendees and the local community are increasingly demanding greater social responsibility and environmental performance from event organisers and their partners. This requires a paradigm shift in industry beliefs, values and business models. We call it the Regenerative Revolution.

We will share the case of an international event organized by EAIE (European Association for International Education) in Helsinki in 2019. EAIE, the venue and its stakeholders cooperated closely on a wide range of sustainability aspects to meet the requirements of ISO 20121 and the United Nations Development Goals.

In this interactive presentation, we will invite you to rethink and redesign how we produce events, and how the events industry can be of real service to rebooting and regenerating society.
