What was the best part of your CMP University experience? 

I enjoyed meeting with other meeting planners from the area and hearing about their challenges and how they handle things.  The discussions and idea sharing were awesome.

What was your biggest takeaway from CMP University?

2 things I suppose – a personal sense of accomplishment and having easier access to information either through the books and handouts we used or by reaching out to others in the class.  I have had questions from clients or scenarios to problem solve that have come up since I completed the class that I am able to answer more thoroughly either because of the knowledge I gained or by referencing some of the materials we reviewed.

What words of advice can you provide to future CMP U students?

Attend the classes, study the books, come up with some memorization practice cards for the formulas, take practice tests. 

What was your favorite domain to learn about during CMP U? 

Legal and Ethical Considerations – we shared a lot of good discussion and experiences during this domain.

How has obtaining your CMP designation helped your career?

It has given my clients additional confidence in my abilities and I have received feedback that the CMP identifier demonstrates my commitment to improvement and to our industry overall.
